Error Description:
There are HELTEC V3 nodes that come as kits complete with a case and, after assembly, repeatedly trigger uncontrolled reboots.
After some research, it was determined that the rear housing cover has a recess located exactly where the battery connector is.
If you route the battery connection cable along the circuit board toward the battery compartment, the cable routing causes the battery connector to be clamped at a slight angle. This results in intermittent contact in the battery connection.
As shown in the picture (above), this problem no longer occurs if you route the battery connection cable across the circuit board directly to the battery compartment.
