The developers of MeshCom—and Martin DK5EN in particular, who worked on version 4.40a—invite the MeshCom community to take the next big step in this unique digital story.
It awaits us all:
- Higher network throughput by reducing airtime by up to 70%
- New app version for Android and iPhone
- Direct transmissions with improved ACK feedback. Via HF-Direkt and, of course, through the rapidly expanding MeshCom server family.
- Store&Forward for DM messages is a completely new feature if you're not always online.
- Additional information directly via the WEBServer interface
- Who are the immediate neighbors?
- Which stations can I receive via HF?
- Many new console commands for even more customization options and fully personalized settings
- and much more.
Since we are a mesh network, it is very important that we and our neighboring nodes speak the same “language.” This means having the same firmware version.
What do you need to do?
- Open your browser on your PC or laptop and enter https://esptool.oevsv.at as the URL.
- Plug in your MeshCom hardware
- Select your hardware from the menu
- Connect and Install
- Even without ERASE, version 4.40a will also import your saved values
If you're already familiar with OTA (Over The Air), I could just do that wirelessly.
